Southgate, MI -- Saturday was probably the first time the line at the back of Mallie's Sports Grill & Bar in Southgate wasn't for the restrooms.
Dozens of customers--some with a cell phone in each hand ready to take a picture--jockeyed for position just outside the entrance to the kitchen.
They wanted to get the first glimpse at a 134-pound hamburger that could break the Guinness world record for the largest commercially available hamburger.
Officials said the
violating supermarkets had been selling the eggs for more than 20 to 30
per cent over the official price scheme. Residents are still suffering
from a serious egg shortage due to the bird flu import ban from Saudi
Arabia and India. People usually rush to supermarkets in the early
morning to get a chance to buy eggs which disappear off the shelves in
a very short time.

Now research has proved that women really do spend longer locked in the bathroom – the equivalent of one year, seven months and 15 days, a month longer than men.
But men are much more likely to dally on the loo itself than women, according to a survey carried out by a bathroom company.
It found men spend an hour and 45 minutes every week going to the toilet – whereas women get everything over with in a mere 85 minutes a week.
